Numbers 20:8 The God Of The Impossible

Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink. Numbers 20:8

Every person has certain needs that have to be met or his life is in danger. Sometimes there appears to be no way that the need can be met. Every avenue of provision appears to be shut off or closed. One is in what is considered an impossible situation with no hope.

As the Israelites were traveling through the desert, they had no water available. After they complained, God told Moses and Aaron to speak to a rock and it would pour out water for them to drink.

Water is one of the essential needs on this earth regardless of where one lives. While most places have water relatively abundant, the desert is one place in which there is very little to no water to be found. Survival can sometimes appear to be impossible.

Situations will often arise in the life of a person in which there seems to be no way of surviving. The difficulty is greater than one can handle, on his own. God, however, is a God who does what is appears to be impossible.

Water never comes from a rock by speaking to it yet, God is able to do so. People have sinned against God and have a death sentence upon their head, but God made a way to remove that sin. No one can walk on the top of water, yet God had Peter walk on water during a storm.

There is nothing so great of a problem that God cannot fix or provide a way through it.

You will have times where you will be faced with situations that appear impossible to overcome. There does not appear to be any solution and it looks hopeless.

Do not allow yourself to complain and go into despair. Look to God and seek His help. Put your trust in His promises to meet your every need, no matter how great or how small that need is and no matter how easy or difficult it appears to be.

If you can trust God with removing your sins, you can trust Him to meet your physical needs. He is the God of the impossible.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will seek God to meet all of your needs; that you will trust God’s provision; that you will not lose hope in impossible situations; and that you will see God bring you through impossible circumstances in your life.
