Revelation 18:4 A Warning To Get Out

“Then I heard another voice from heaven say: Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

John sees a vision of Babylon falling. It is being destroyed by God. Babylon represents the world systems. God is judging Babylon for its sins and is calling for His people to get out of there. He does not want His people to be caught up in any of those sins.

The world wants you to join with them. It is a common statement that if you do not accept and practice their ways, you are wrong. More and more rules are made in countries around the world that every person must accept certain practices in life. In America, this is termed as being politically correct.

From Genesis to Revelation, God has called His people to be separate from the world. Jesus said that you are to be in the world but not a part of it. You are called to be holy and separate.

One of the reasons for this is because God is holy and separate. Jesus was set apart from the world, even though He made the world and lived in it. Jesus never participated in any sinful acts.

Another reason is that God is going to judge the world for its sins some day. If you believe in Jesus, you are His child and He does not want to have to punish His children for sins.

Take a stand against sin. This does not mean you have to condemn the people in the world, it just means you do not participate in the sins with them. Show love to the world, but not the love that goes with them and does what they do.

You are to come out from Babylon. Get out of the world’s ways and thinking. Get into the ways of God and His kingdom.

Jesus has already removed your sins from your life. Do you really want to go out and get more sins? Come out today.

I pray today that God will give you strength to turn away from all sins; that God will reveal to you the ways of this world; that you will not participate in any sin; that you will live in the life Jesus has given you; and that you will be His witness in this world.
