For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of an end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3
Waiting for something to happen is often very difficult for many people to do. They know something good is supposed to happen, but know when. As they wait they get anxious. Often they give up waiting and attempt to get what they were waiting for some other way.
One reason many give up is that what they are waiting for is dependent upon a person, and that person has been proven wrong or false before. Their trust is broken.
God tells Habakkuk that the revelation is waiting for the right time to come to pass. He is to wait for it to occur, because it is a promise and will not come late.
There are many promises of God that has been revealed in scripture. Along with those promises many believers have been given a direct revelation or promise by God.
As with all promises of revelation, one must wait for them to occur. God’s promises will occur, but not until the perfect timing of God has come.
The greatest promise to have yet to occur is the return of Jesus to wipe out all sin and death for eternity. Many believers have fallen away in giving up hope in God’s promises. They chose to find some other way to live.
Each believer must look at the promises that has already been fulfilled. God has revealed many things that have already come to pass. If God has fulfilled all of those promises already, He will surely continue to fulfill the rest in the perfect time.
You may be waiting for a promise of God to occur. It could be one of healing, salvation of someone, provision, or some other need in in your life or someone else’s life whom you love. Hold on to the promises of God that has been revealed to you. The promise will come true at the right time.
The devil and the world will strive to get you to give up and take your own path to get what you want. Don’t give in to fear or impatience. Keep trusting God’s word to you. God has never failed yet, and will not start with you.
Keep waiting for God to answer your prayers in fulfillment of the revelation you have received.
I pray today that you will know Jesus as your Lord; that you will know the revelation God has made; that God will give you patience as you wait for His answer; and that you will see God fulfill every promise.
