Prayer for Pacific

The Pacific region contains all of the many island nations in the South Pacific ocean. There are more the 25,000 islands that are found throughout that region. Some are heavily populated, while others are sparsely populated. As many are very remote, the people feel isolated and alone.

As a result, the people feel disconnected bringing on much crime, violence and chaos. Islam is pushing into many of these nations and creating discontent and violence against non-Muslims.

With the remoteness and being on islands and the many different languages, it is difficult for people to be reached with the gospel message of Jesus.

Missionaries must be able to show compassion and repentance for wrongs that have been done against the people in the past. Although there are many churches and believers in these island nations, there are very few that are evangelistic, willing to go out and spread the gospel message.

Over the years there has been an increase in missions work. Churches are growing. People need to be trained to lead these new churches.

Points to pray:
Peace between the nations
Provision to reach the many different islands with the gospel message
The Bible to be translated into the local languages
Protection and strength of the believers
That the believers would be evangelistic
That the people would be open to hearing the gospel message
