The number of people who are claiming to be non-religious is increasing rapidly around the world. In the early 1900s, this group was only about 0.2% of the entire world’s population. In 2020, that number had increased to about 11.3%. More and more people are turning away from any and all religious beliefs, including from God.

Churches have lost the influence they once had in their communities. People fear being a witness and the trouble it may cause going against the flow. Not wanting to offend anyone, people are often silent.

Many in the church have been affected by the relativism and existentialism taught by the world. Acceptance of sin has become more and more common. Focus on physical prosperity takes first place in the lives of many.

Lack of discipleship plagues many churches. Weak leadership is filtered throughout the church out of fear and intimidation. Acceptance of all forms of beliefs can be found rampant inside the church. The church, as a whole, is not being the force the storms the gates of hell and rescues those who are lost. They are being friends with the world.
