Romans 5:1 Peace With God

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1

With all of the wars and fighting going on, peace is something that everyone wants to have and see. Everywhere one looks people are fighting against other people, whether as nations or as individuals. Peace talks are always occurring with no complete resolution. Fear and anxiety run high when there is no peace to be seen and felt, and as a result, all hope vanishes, and peace becomes even farther out of reach.

Paul tells that Roman church that since they are justified or made right by faith, they have peace with God that is made available only through Jesus Christ.

Instead of finding peace, many people get angry with God when things do not go their way. The world wants their own personal way or else there will be trouble. In order to find peace, people try find peace in the things of this world, making their own peace.

As a sinner, one is against God. Being against God does not bring peace, but war. It is a war against the spiritual forces fighting for the right to own the soul of a person. On their own, no individual can win that war.

Knowing this, God sent Jesus to die upon the cross to remove all sin and make a person right before God. From the moment one repents of all sin and accepts the work of Jesus upon the cross, all sin is removed, and one becomes a friend of God through faith.

There is now peace between the individual and God, no longer war. The world cannot know, nor understand this peace. This is a peace that passes all understanding and will last through the darkest of times.

Looking around peace is something that you probably do not always see or feel in the chaos and troubles of this world. While you cannot force peace upon people, you can gain peace with God. Do not fight against Him but believe in faith that Jesus died upon the cross to remove all sins from your life. Gain the peace with God, that the world cannot have nor understand, even in the middle of the troubles of this war. This peace will give you strength to keep moving forward in the war that is upon this earth against your soul.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know peace with God; that you will know the peace God offers you; and that you will believe in the work of Jesus upon the cross.
