Acts 27:25-26 Have Faith In God In Rough Waters

So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. Nevertheless, we must run aground on some island. Acts 27:25-26

Plans are made all the time by many people. As they go into the plans, often things come up that appear to throw those plans out the window. It may feel as if there is no way to accomplish the plans.

During these times, many people give up on their plans. Some others will go into extreme desperate measures to attempt accomplish their plans.

Paul was on a ship bound for Rome. During a storm, the sailors wanted to give up, due to the danger. Paul told them that God had told him they would reach their goal, but not until after a shipwreck.

On the paths of life, many things are thrown into the ways of plans. Most often individuals have very little to no control over the obstacles in the way of reaching their goals.

Even though a person does not have any real control, God does. When God lays out a path for someone to take, He will do what it takes to make it happen all the way to the end.

There will be times when the obstacle is so great, that in the human mind and ways it points to that one should quit and give up the goal. The goal of salvation is like that. One cannot be perfect or get rid of his own sin. It is a great, impossible obstacle to personally overcome, but Jesus provided a way for it to occur.

Just as Jesus overcomes sin, He can overcome every obstacle in the life of a believer. If God has called a person on a path, He will make it occur, despite the problems along the way.

God has probably called you along some path in this life. At times it may appear as though you are getting no where and are failing to accomplish that goal.

Do not give up or give in to the ways of this world’s thinking. Do not jump overboard and quit, thinking it is over and you failed. It is not over yet. Trust God will bring you through to His desired goal that He called you to.

Hold onto the promises God has given you and believe that you will accomplish what He told you to do.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know what God has called you to do and be; that you will trust God when in difficult times; that God will give you strength to keep moving forward; and that God will accomplish His purpose in and through you.
