“Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” Revelation 4:8
John gets an opportunity of a lifetime to get a glimpse into heaven. In heaven he gets to see the throne of God. All around that throne are creatures and elders who are all doing one thing. That one thing is worshipping God. They worship Him day and night, never stopping.
Their worship is proclaiming that God is holy. Being holy makes Him perfect in every way possible. There is no darkness in Him. There is no wrong doing in Him. There is no wrong motives or thoughts in Him.
And alongside of being holy, they proclaim the fact that God has always been there, is always there, and always will be there.
Now start to think about what they were proclaiming. God is perfect and is always there. This was repeated every 10 seconds, day and night, never-ending.
What does this mean to you? God is perfect in every way and there for you at all times.
When you are serving God, He is going to do the best possible thing for you every time. God will never make a bad decision about you. He will never give you the wrong gift. The creatures and elders in heaven knew this and worshipped God non-stop.
You are not able to physically just sit there repeating their phrase over and over around the clock. As a human being you have to do things throughout the day and night.
However, in your heart and on your lips you can continually give God praise and worship. Your actions can be ones that bring God glory. Choosing to do what He wants will bring God praise and worship.
Allow yourself to enter into non-stop worship of God. Think about everything He has done for you and everything He has given you. Now worship Him, not just with your lips, but with your whole life. Cry out today “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” God is worthy of all praise and worship.
I pray today that God will give you a vision of who He is; that you will see how holy God is; that you will worship God with your lips; that your life will be one of worship of God; and that you will worship God non-stop the rest of your life.
