Family relationships can mean a lot for some people. Most people are related to people who are not super well-known or have an extreme high position.
The children of the president of a corporation has the ability to call on their parent any time and get through immediately, most of the time. Everyone else who calls, usually will have to wait.
As a believer in Jesus, you have received a new relationship. God, the Father of Jesus, now calls you His own child. You have been adopted into God’s family. How much greater love can there ever be than that?
Now you have a family relationship who is more than just important or well-known, He is the creator of everything that there is. God is the One who has power to create the stars and remove the stars. He is the One who created life and gives life to everything that is alive.
Today you have His authority and His attention. Day or night you can go before Him and He will hear you.
The world may think you are strange for saying you have God as your Father, but that is because the world does not know Him. The world does not see or accept God, so they cannot know Him in any way. When someone says they are in a relationship with God, the world looks at that person as strange.
Yet, you do have that relationship. That relationship is closer than with any person in the world. God created you. No person created you, not even your parents. God just used your parents to create you.
Since you have such a close relationship with God, live for Him and with Him. Stop and think about how great that love is, that the creator of the universe wants to have you as His child. Give God the praise and glory for His great love for you!
I pray today that you will know the love God has for you; that you will realize you are God’s child; that you will live to give God honor; that you will show the world who God is; and that God will make you more like Jesus everyday.
