Luke 7:16 He Is Here To Help

“They were all filled with awe and praised God. A great prophet has appeared among us, they said. God has come to help his people.” Luke 7:16

Jesus had just did a great miracle of raising a dead child to life. The son of a widow had died. They were taking the boy to be buried. This son was the only child of the widow. Without the boy she would have no one to help take care of her.

After Jesus raised the son to life, the people were amazed. They were stating that God was now there to help them.

In this circumstance, Jesus was helping a widow have the provision she needed. Directly it had nothing to do with salvation of the soul. It was a practical help, though a very large miracle.

Even today, God is here to help the people. His first priority is salvation of the soul. With that, however, God wants to help meet your needs.

Since God has been around for all eternity, He knows what is best each and every time for you and everyone else.

God knows when you need someone raised from the dead to help, or when you need a sickness in the body to keep your reliance upon Him.

Often, many people state that God is against them. They feel God does not want to help them, because of negative situations in their lives.

Are you patiently waiting on His timing? Are you trusting Him? Do you see His hand at work in every situation in your life?

If you are seeking and trusting God, He will be for you and not against you. He will be there to help you. Trust Him today.

I pray today that you will see God’s hand at work in your life; that you will see how God is trying to help you be the best you can be; that you will be God’s witness of how He is helping you; that you will receive the salvation Jesus provides; and that God will use you to build His kingdom.
