Human trafficking is something that has become a major issue around the world in every nation. It has risen to the point that it is now the highest profiting crime in the world, even above drug trafficking.
Women and girls are the highest level of people being trafficked and usually for sexual deviancy. In China alone there is expected over seven million female prostitutes, most of whom were trafficked and forced into it outside of choice. It takes less than one month for a woman to be broken and forced into the sex industry. Females as young as one year old are being trafficked into it.
Although women are most commonly trafficked, there are men also trafficked. Some for the sexual industry, while many are forced into work.
Tracking down and capturing violators is very difficult. They hide under many different disguises and are often well known public figures.
In many nations, when one is captured, the sentence for the crime is very light and they are quickly back at it again.
The other challenge is to rescue men and women out of the industry. It is often life threatening and extremely dangerous. Many have no idea how to live outside of that life when they are rescued.
