Pray for Eswatini
Eswatini is one of the last absolute monarch nations in the lower part of Africa. The king has absolute control of all things. With his control many are suppressed and not allowed to rise up in status in the nation. Nearly 25% of the people are not working, making for a very poor economy. There is extreme difference between the poor and the wealthy.
For many decades the nation has been damaged by the spread of HIV/AIDS bringing a sharp decline in the population. Nearly 27% of the population is HIV positive, the highest in the world. The eldest siblings are often the ones leading the homes.
Although many claim Christianity, many are just nominal Christians, not fully living the life that follows Jesus. Churches are continually getting smaller. Due to the high rate of death, there are very few elder leaders in the church to guide the people.
Bibles in their language is available, but many cannot afford them. There are several Christian radio stations that do provide some teachings.
