Pray for India
India has the largest population of any nation in the world. With the extreme high population, there are millions of people living in extreme poverty and in extremely crowded spaces. Dharavi is one of the largest slum cities in the country with over a million living there. It has about 16,500 people per square mile.
Along with the high population comes a lot of organized crime, sex trafficking and drugs in many of the slum districts of the nation.
The Jammu and Kashmir districts are often at war against Pakistan. Both nations claim the land and struggle to agree on who gets which parts.
Hindu is the largest religion, though hundreds of other religions are practiced throughout the nation. In some areas, there are entire towns that have become believers, while other towns have never heard of the name of Jesus. Often with becoming a believer, the new believer will be persecuted by the family and others in the area. Many groups are in India trying to reach the people with the Gospel message.
