Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen and blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with the artistic designs of cherubim you shall weave them. Exodus 26:1
Being covered correctly can bring a person honor and recognition. People who dress in extreme high quality clothing stand out as different and above others. It gives the appearance of someone who is successful and not just average or a failure. The majority of people dress in just standard clothing and do not stand out. Others dress down and give the appearance of failure.
God gives directions on how to begin to build the tabernacle. They were to make curtains of fine woven linen and blue, purple and scarlet threads with cherubim woven in for the covering of the tabernacle.
Putting on various types of clothing often reveals the inner heart of a person. It can reveal what is important to the person and how they feel about themselves. Beliefs often show up in the clothing, whether good or bad. The world is ready and willing to show off in their clothing what is in their hearts.
As a believer, one has become the tabernacle or temple of God. Just as the tabernacle in the Old Testament times was clothed or covered with fine linen, believers are to be covered with fine linen of the righteousness of Jesus. They are to remove the clothing of sin and death and put on holiness and righteousness.
The colors of the linen were blue, which represents divinity and purple, which represents royalty. Repenting of sins and believing in Jesus makes believers the children of God. They are now part of royalty as a child of the King, dressed in holiness and righteousness, the fine linen, that only Jesus can provide.
Physical clothing may or may not be important to you, though it can reveal some of your thoughts and beliefs. More importantly is how you are dressed spiritually. The world wants you to dress in their sin and death. God wants to dress you up with royalty, holiness and godliness, His fine linen provided by the death and resurrection of Jesus. As a child of God, you are holy, righteous and royalty for the world to see. Your life is a witness of who you are in Christ Jesus and who God is.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will allow God to clothe you with His linen of holiness and righteousness; that the world will see that you are a child of God; that you will know that you are a child of God; and that you will be a witness of who Jesus is to this fallen world.
