So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive. Genesis 7:23
There are times when a major disaster strikes an area and many people die. Those that survived are extremely grateful that they survived but often wonder why they survived when so many others did not. Feelings like this occur even more when there is war, and some do not make it through.
Moses records that God destroyed everything living thing on the earth by a flood. Only Noah and his family survived the flood and destruction.
When a major disaster strikes and many die, those who survive do not always know why they survived. They begin to question why they did, while others did not. Sometimes they can see why due to very specific things that they did to increase the chance of survival, such as preparing ahead of time for disaster.
People, in general, do not really like to prepare for disaster or trouble. They want to live in the moment by eating, drinking and being merry, focusing on the moment rather than the future. As a result, many suffer greatly when disaster strikes them.
Although God will never flood the earth again, there will come a day in which He will destroy this earth. When Jesus returns, He will destroy all sin and those who have rejected Him.
Only those who have repented of their sins and believed on Jesus Christ will survive the coming destruction. Only those who are on the ark of Jesus Christ will remain alive, all else will be destroyed and tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.
Watching around you there have been major disasters that have struck and injured or killed many people. As of yet, you have survived each one. There is coming a disaster that will destroy the entire earth when Jesus returns. You have an opportunity now to be ready for when that destruction comes.
Choose today to get into the ark of Jesus Christ and be saved from that destruction. Repent of all your sin and believe on Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and you will not be destroyed when the disaster comes. Remain alive as Noah and his family did.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will be saved from the coming destruction of the earth; that you will not live the way the world lives; and that you will tell others of the coming destruction and how they can be saved through Jesus Christ.
