Revelation 15:3 A Song Of Worship

They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!” Revelation 15:3

Throughout history thousands of songs are recorded being sung giving praise and honor to various people. It is a way that people remember what others have done and bring it to the attention of more. It keeps in memory what has happened in history so that none will forget, whether it is good or bad.

John has a vision of those who had victory standing before the throne of God giving Him praise. They sang about how great His works are and how just and true are His ways.

Young children are taught to sing songs about different subjects to help them remember the subjects. Through song they can go over and over what they need to remember. The world understands how it is needed to remember what is important and honor those who have brought those good things about.

Believers have a song that the world cannot know nor understand. It is song about what God has done and how great He really is.

All a person has to do is sit back and think about all the things God has already done in one’s life. God’s provision in life is so great that one would never run out of things to sing about. It is amazing how God works all things out for the believer.

Unlike the world’s ways of doing things God is also true and just in what He does. God does not play favoritism, but treats all the same. He leads and guides in a perfect way.

These are just a few things that the believer can stand and sing praise to God for.

Take a moment and think about all the things that God has done in your life and around you. Think about what God has done in history that you know about. As you do, realize how great God is in His ways and what He does. Allow a song to rise up in your heart and sing out a song of praise to God for what He has done and who He is. There is no one that is greater than God or deserves more songs of praise than He. What is your song to God?

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know what God has done; that you will sing songs of praise to God for who He is; that you will know how great the things God has done are; and that you will always have a song of praise in your heart and on your lips to God.
