Somalia is a nation that has been under extreme turmoil for many years. Islamic rules suppress the people and hold them back from succeeding in life. There is constant wars, bombings and killings occurring all the time. Along with all of the wars, Somalia has lost around 500,000 people to devastating famines.
Woman often suffer genital mutilation. Sex trafficking is very common.
There is an underground church that has about 4,000 members, in spite of extreme persecution and danger. Having access to Bibles is very difficult and dangerous for the few believers there.
