But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, John 12:37
Believing something to be true is very difficult for some people. No matter how many facts are presented for them, they refuse to believe. They are stuck on one piece of thought that prevents them from believing the truth when all the evidence is right in front of their eyes showing differently. This can easily occur with nearly any type of information that is presented to a person.
John records that Jesus had been doing many signs and miracles in front of the people, yet many still refused to believe in Him.
The world is filled with many considered to be conspiracy theorists. They have extreme doubts about what was recorded to have actually occurred, and so they come up with theories as to why it is not true.
Along with all of these theories, books and movies are filled with stories that are impossible to happen in real life. This breaks down the ability of a person to really believe something that looks impossible, even when all the facts are right before them.
Many deny that Jesus is who He said He was. They deny that God is real. These denials come while they are being shown many signs and wonders right before their eyes.
Just beginning with the intricate body and its extremely complex workings, one can see the hand of God in it. Looking out on creation and how everything works together is another example of who God is. Yet, people are quick to deny God and refuse to believe that He is real and will take care of them and meet all of their needs.
Once one sees the signs of God in life, one must be willing to choose to believe in who Jesus is. There are some things that are probable difficult for you to believe due to various evidence surrounding those circumstances. The world will try to tell you that Jesus is not real.
Instead of believing the world, take a look at the signs God is giving you each day in lives of others, in creation and in your own personal life. Recognize that Jesus is real and is who He said He is. Believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior because of the signs He has already given you.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will see the signs God is giving you of His love for you each day; that you will not doubt who Jesus is; and that you will share your belief in Jesus with others.
