And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:2
Each day that a person is alive that person will wake up to a new day. That day is sometimes a good day, while other times a bad day. Often people know what they are going to be waking up to. They will wake up to a day in which they have to work, or it may be a day in which they are off from work and can relax. Most go to bed knowing what to expect the next day.
Daniel was given a vision of the end times. He was told that those who had died before the very end would wake up, some to eternal life, others to eternal shame and contempt.
People often wonder what is after death. This becomes even more common when a fellow person of the same age passes away or when the person is getting much older.
Many, who claim to be atheist, believe that when one dies, life is just over, nothing more. Some believe that they will come back as someone or something else in reincarnation. Others will hope that they were good enough to get into heaven.
Although many question what is after death, believers know the truth. Everyone has sinned and will die an eternal death if those sins are not removed.
Jesus died on the cross by crucifixion and then arose from the dead three days later so that whoever believes on Him could be saved. He is able to take sins away and give the believer eternal life, even if one should die before His return.
Without Jesus, there is nothing to look forward but shame and everlasting contempt in hell. Everyone needs to make a choice to either believe in or reject Jesus before they die.
God loves you with an eternal and perfect love. He has provided the answer to you as to what is after death. Know that if you do not believe in Jesus and repent of your sins that after your physical death you will rise to spend eternity in shame and contempt in hell.
Make the choice today to repent of your sins and believe in the work of Jesus. Choose today to be able to rise to everlasting life when Jesus returns in the end.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will choose to believe in Jesus; that you will know Jesus will take you to heaven someday; that God will not have to raise you to send you to hell; and that you will live your life for God.
