Ezekiel 43:5 Is God’s Glory Filling You?

The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the temple. Ezekiel 43:5

There are some people that when they enter a room everyone knows it. Their presence is very easily known. Knowing their presence can be for many different reasons. Sometimes they are very social with everyone, or they make lots of fast jokes, or they are austere in their character, or some other reason that they are known to be there very quickly. People will sometimes like the person while other times may have disdain for the person being there.

Ezekiel writes that God’s Spirit moved him into the inner court of the temple and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.

People will often get very awed at the presence of someone in the room. This can usually be seen when the person entering is some great celebrity or person of high position of authority. Many cannot believe that they are in the presence of such a person.

Very few people will ever be allowed into the presence of a king or the leader of their nation. This is being in the presence of someone who is in the highest position of their nation.

Although most cannot be in that position, one has the opportunity to have God in one’s presence. Believers are to be the temple of God. As the temple of God, it can be expected that God wants to dwell there.

God wants to have His glory and presence fill the life of the believer. This should overwhelm the believer. It is the Creator of the universe, not just some other person or some little god, but the King of kings, Lord of lords, the God Almighty, who is presence is in the believer, the temple of the Lord.

There may have been times in which you were in the presence of someone great, or maybe you were that person to others. While those times were great, they are not as great as being in God’s presence and feeling His glory fill you. As a believer, you are the temple of God, His dwelling place. His glory and presence should fill you each and every day and be with you ever place you go. This will only happen when you are cleansed by the blood of Jesus and filled with His presence, holy and pure.

Is God’s glory dwelling in you?

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God’s presence and glory in your life; that God will be pleased to dwell in your life; and that you will enter the inner court with God each day.
