Jeremiah 17:7-8 Results Of Trusting God

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8

Every nation is struggling with their economy crashing. Drought is occurring in many places. Danger is everywhere and people are anxious about it all. They don’t know what to do and fear rises.

Jeremiah says that the man who trusts in God is blessed and will be like a tree planted firmly by the water that will not fear the heat or drought, but will continue to be green and productive.

The world is always talking about climate change and that it is heating up. Drought appears to be occurring more and more all the time. Natural disasters appear to be greater and more common.

As a result, people are scared and anxious. They want more rules on how to do things to change everything. Trust is put in man and governments, rather than God.

Believers are to trust in God and put all their hope in God. It is God who is in control, not any person or government. The moment one trusts in God and gives God complete control, one will be guided by the Holy Spirit in what to do.

The result of trusting in God is that one will be stable and firm, even in the midst of persecution and disaster. There will no longer be fear and anxiety. And the believer will always be producing fruit in the harshest of circumstances when the rest of the world will be crumbling.

No matter where you live, there are disasters occurring. Fear and anxiety is probably very high among the people. Do not let the fear of the people overwhelm you. Do not put your trust in people or governments.

Put all of your trust and hope in God. God can and will establish you as a firm tree planted by the water. He will uphold you in times of drought and disaster and allow you to bear much fruit that will last for eternity. His peace and strength will be upon you and provide more than you need in every area of your life.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as Lord and Savior; that you will put your trust in God; that God will firmly plant you; that God will help remove all anxiety; and that God will produce much fruit in your life.
