“To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One. Isaiah 40:25
Products made by businesses often have some other product that is made that is similar. Generic brands are made all the time that appear to be very similar to a brand name product. Although they may appear to be similar, one who really knows the brand name can often tell the difference between it and the generic. Being generic is never completely the same as the original but is someone’s lower level take on the original.
Isaiah quotes God asking who the people will liken to Him or who shall be His equal.
All around the world, there are hundreds of religions that claim to know the way to heaven or paradise in some form or another. Each of these religions claim that their god or gods are the right one. Knowing these various religions, many people try to claim that all of these ‘gods’ are equal to God Himself.
When looked at on the surface, it would be possible that all these gods are equal, but when looked at closer, it is impossible. They are all false imposters of the real God, and the world has been deceived in believing that all are gods equal to God.
No other god has provided salvation in the way God has. No other god has provided verifiable miracles as God has. No other god has touched and changed hearts and lives in the manner that God has done.
There is only one true God and only one true Savior of the world. Salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ and none other. All other gods are false imposters of God and are of the devil, leading all to sin and death, not life.
When you look around you, you will see that many believe in many different gods. There are probably some churches that accept anyone believing in any god to be a member of their church. Do not allow yourself to be deceived into believing that there are other gods equal to God. God is the only God there is and there is no one equal to Him. Jesus is the only way to your salvation. Believe in the Lord God and Jesus alone and no other false imitators of God. Give God all your praise and service.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God as the one true God; that you will not make any other gods equal to God; that you will see that no other gods are like God; and that God will make Himself personal to you.
