Behold, the day of the Lord comes, cruel with both wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate; and He will destroy its sinners from it. Isaiah 13:9
Threats of war loom in nations around the world. With war, there is the threat of destruction and desolation by nuclear bombs or others means. Many fear this threat of war and destruction, along with many other threats that come up. Some feel that there is no real threat, but that all the feelings are from conspiracy theorists and nothing bad will occur.
Isaiah states that the day of the Lord is coming with extreme wrath and anger to destroy the land and all sinners in that land.
As a whole, people go through each day as though they have a long time to live. There is very little concern with their future. All that most people see is the here and now, in the moment, struggling just to make ends meet and get through each day. When one talks about the future, most people check out and don’t want to hear it, especially if it is a negative report.
When a major hurricane is coming into an area, people are warned of the danger. They are recommended to leave the area for safety. Many may leave, but many others will refuse to leave.
A disaster greater than any war or hurricane is coming upon every nation upon the earth. It will be the destruction of the entire earth, and it will not be by manmade objects or power, but by God.
Jesus will return someday to destroy the earth and all sin and all sinners who have refused to repent and believe on Him. Believers who believe this need to let others know about His coming anger and destruction. There is a way to escape that destruction and that is by repentance, belief and obedience to Jesus.
Every day you hear of threats of destruction in various ways all over the world. Some may be real, while others are in theory only. The coming of Jesus with anger and destruction is real, it is only a matter of time. Be sure to repent of your sins and believe in and obey Jesus with your whole life. Then take that message to the world, so that others may be saved from the coming destruction. Do not be the reason they don’t know and are destroyed.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will repent of all sins and follow Jesus with your life; that you will tell others of the coming destruction by God; and that many will believe in Jesus through your testimony.
