Be strong, let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The Lord will do what is good in his sight. 2 Samuel 10:12

Battles are being fought on a daily basis all around the world. While some battles are physical, most are spiritual or emotional battles. People fight daily with health, social, financial, emotional and more issues.

Some give in to the enemy and stop fighting out of fear. They do not believe that there is any chance to win the battle because the enemy is larger than they are in their eyes.

David encouraged his men to be strong and fight bravely and allow God to do whatever is good in His sight.

Just as many in the world fight various battles in their lives, believers must also fight many different battles. The world is seeking to destroy the believer and will do whatever it takes to take down the believer. Very rarely will this be a physical fight but will always be one against the mindset of the believer.

The most common battle for the believer is against temptation to sin against God. He must be willing to stand strong against those temptations and allow God to do what is good in his life.

Next the believer must be willing to take a stand and fight against the sin in the lives of others, being a witness of who Jesus and pointing others to Him. Jesus tells all believers to go out and make disciples. This is a battle against the wishes of the enemy in this world.

Satan will use many in this world to break down a believer and bring fear into his heart and mind. One must be strong and brave in the face of the enemy, knowing that God is in control and can win the battles.

You will have many battles in your life and all around you. The enemy may appear large and undefeatable, but God is greater and gives you the strength to overcome.

Stand boldly and fight bravely against the enemies of your soul. God will fill you with His Spirit and wisdom to defeat the enemy in your life and in the lives of those around you. Do not back down from the fight and know that God will do what is right and bring about a great victory in the end.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that God will fill you with His boldness; that God will fill you with His strength for the battle; and that you will fight for God in every area of your life.
