“I am the Lord’s servant.” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. Luke 1:38
Everyday people receive mail or emails with promises of many different things. Most often they are filled with promises to meet a need or to make one wealthy.
While some of these may actually be true, most are not. They are scams to get money from an unsuspecting person. Many people will trust these scams, while those who are wise, reject them.
With these types of scams going on all the time, people tend to have a hard time trusting anything or anyone.
Angel had come to Mary and gave her an amazing word from God. Instead of questioning it, she requested that it would come true as spoken, trusting the word.
All throughout the bible there are many different promises God has made to those who follow and trust Him. Some of those promises are often restated to a believer by a word of prophecy or a word of wisdom when needed.
These words spoken today are just as strong and powerful as those spoken by the angel to Mary. Yet, many believers question God’s word to them. They struggle with believing that God will truly meet their needs or bring them through a tough situation.
God does not play favoritism, but all of His promises are for everyone who follows and trusts in Him. Jesus did not die on the cross and raise again just to let the believer be on his own. He is with every believer, right by their sides fulfilling every promise of God to them.
All a believer has to do is do what God asks and to trust God to fulfill His part. God will not fail or forsake anyone who is seeking Him with all of their heart.
Over time you have probably read some of God’s promises to you. You may have also have had some prophetic words spoken to you. With all of these, you may also wonder about the truth in these promises, wondering if God will fulfill them.
Take a moment to look through the bible and see all the promises fulfilled there. Then look at your life and see all the promises already fulfilled.
Now trust God with the rest of your life. God has not changed and will continue to fulfill every promise He gave you.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know the promises of God to you; that you will trust God with all of your life; and that you will see God fulfilling His promises.
