Luke 1:38 Trust God’s Word To You

“I am the Lord’s servant.” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. Luke 1:38

Everyday people receive mail or emails with promises of many different things. Most often they are filled with promises to meet a need or to make one wealthy.

While some of these may actually be true, most are not. They are scams to get money from an unsuspecting person. Many people will trust these scams, while those who are wise, reject them.

With these types of scams going on all the time, people tend to have a hard time trusting anything or anyone.

Angel had come to Mary and gave her an amazing word from God. Instead of questioning it, she requested that it would come true as spoken, trusting the word.

All throughout the bible there are many different promises God has made to those who follow and trust Him. Some of those promises are often restated to a believer by a word of prophecy or a word of wisdom when needed.

These words spoken today are just as strong and powerful as those spoken by the angel to Mary. Yet, many believers question God’s word to them. They struggle with believing that God will truly meet their needs or bring them through a tough situation.

God does not play favoritism, but all of His promises are for everyone who follows and trusts in Him. Jesus did not die on the cross and raise again just to let the believer be on his own. He is with every believer, right by their sides fulfilling every promise of God to them.

All a believer has to do is do what God asks and to trust God to fulfill His part. God will not fail or forsake anyone who is seeking Him with all of their heart.

Over time you have probably read some of God’s promises to you. You may have also have had some prophetic words spoken to you. With all of these, you may also wonder about the truth in these promises, wondering if God will fulfill them.

Take a moment to look through the bible and see all the promises fulfilled there. Then look at your life and see all the promises already fulfilled.

Now trust God with the rest of your life. God has not changed and will continue to fulfill every promise He gave you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know the promises of God to you; that you will trust God with all of your life; and that you will see God fulfilling His promises.

Isaiah 14:24 It Will Happen

Blueprint

The Lord Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen.” Isaiah 14:24

Plans are made everyday by millions of people all over the world. Some are short term plans, such as just for that day, while others are long term plans looking out over a period of twenty or more years.

Some of those plans actually come into full being, while many end up on the shelf, forgotten or ignored. Complications and circumstances often get in the way of the plans and many give up.

There are some people who are known for making plans, but never fulfilling them. They always quit for some reason or another before fulfilling them. While a few people will usually fulfill their plans and can be trusted to do so nearly every time.

Isaiah had been speaking about God’s plan to bring Babylon down when he quotes God. God promises that what He has planned, He will do it.

The greatest thing that a believer has in God is that He is trustworthy in what He says. One can stand on the promises of God. If God says He is going to do something, He will do it.

Throughout the Bible God has said that there are many things that He will do for those who believe in and follow Jesus. While many believers know these promises, there are also many who do not always believe them. God does not appear to be working fast enough and so they feel God is not going to fulfill His promise.

Standing on God’s word as truth is the greatest thing a believer can do. He can rest assured that God will do as He has promised. Grace and forgiveness will be given. Provision will be made. Salvation will occur. Jesus will return. These are just a few of the plans God has made and He will fulfill them.

You can have the assurance of God’s word to you. God will never fail in what He plans to do in your life or in the lives of others.

Instead of having fear or feeling that God will not do as He has said, trust Him. Lean on His word as fact. God will fulfill His word to you and to this world. It is only a matter of time before it is complete.

I pray today that you will know God’s promises to you; that God will reveal His plans for your life; that you will see God fulfilling His word; and that you will trust God’s word.

Joshua 21:45 No Failed Promises

Rainbow over water

Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled. Joshua 21:45

Every day millions of promises are made by people all over the world. These promises show up everywhere in life. Some are formal promises, written down in very long legal documents, promising to pay or do something. While many others are informal promises.

The informal promises show up as just a person promising to do something for someone else. It is common to see these promises made by family parents.

At the same time, millions of promises are broken every day. Payments are not made, busyness keeps people from doing things they promised, and life throws a curve ball to ‘excuse’ the person from the promise. Wedding vows to stayed married forever, regardless of what happens are broken daily.

Along with promises to people, there are many promises to God. People promise to follow Him, if He does something, yet they do not. They promise to give up a sin, but turn back with in moments.

Since people are very quick to break promises, many do not believe God’s promises to them. Yet, God is faithful. As the Israelites were settling into the new land, they could say that God had not failed in fulfilling any of His promises to them. Every promise was fulfilled and on time.

God has still not changed. Every promise He makes is or will be fulfilled. Believers can count on His promises. Knowing God’s promises will always be fulfilled can give hope to the believer in any situation he finds himself in. This can remove all fear or doubt in his mind and bring about a supernatural peace.

There is no longer any reason to fear or worry about anything. God has promised to take care of those who are His.

As a believer, you may also trust God’s promises to you. Read through the Bible and see the hundreds of promises God has made. Also take note of how all of them were fulfilled.

God is not like people, in which He will break His promise to you. You no longer have to have any worry or fear in your life. Trust God with everything, and He will be faithful in His word and take care of you, regardless of how things look.

God is in control and is perfect love. He will never break His word to you.

I pray today that you will know the fulfilled promises of God; that you will know you can trust God’s promises to you; that you will see God’s promises being fulfilled in your life; and that you will trust God’s word for you.

Isaiah 9:6 A Promise As Though Now

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

As Israel is walking away from God and is being punished, Isaiah makes a prophecy of great proportions. It is about a child that is born that will be in control of the government and will be God while being a man. Looking back, now several thousand years later, one can see that he was talking about Jesus.

At the time Isaiah spoke these words, Jesus was not walking on the earth. He was not born yet as a human being. Still Isaiah speaks as though it has already happened. The actual birth of Jesus would not occur for several hundred more years.

From God’s perspective, time does not really mean anything. He is outside of time. Yesterday, today and tomorrow are all the same to Him. When God makes a statement it is as though it has already happened.

As you think about this you may wonder how this can help you today. God has made many promises. A lot of promises are made to every believer, while God may make some directly to you and your situation in your life.

Often you may hear of a promise of God and wonder if you really heard it, because nothing seemed to change. God promised to meet your needs, yet the bills keep piling up and the car breaking down. You may have heard a prophecy over your life about something and yet nothing seems to come to pass.

You have to claim that promise and believe in God to fulfill it in His time and in His way. Just as Isaiah prophesied about the birth of Jesus and had to wait for it to occur, so you may have to wait for God’s prophecy to you.

Believe the prophecy as though it has occurred and move forward with it. God’s word is alive and active. God will never break a promise to you, only you can break or stop that promise by rejecting it.

Just as Jesus did finally come to this earth, so God will fulfill every promise to you.

I pray today that you will know God’s promises to you; that you will trust God’s word to you; that you will wait for God’s promises to be fulfilled; and that you will not lose hope in Jesus.
