Ezekiel 12:28 What God Says Will Happen

Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God. Ezekiel 12:28

People have all kinds of plans of what they plan to do. Grand plans for doing something will be made, but for most people, following through on those plans does not happen. They promise to do something or to not do something, but often fail to follow through. As a result, many question or disbelieve when someone says they will do something.

God tells Ezekiel to tell the people that He will not postpone or hold off on any of His words any more, but everything He says will be done.

Throughout the centuries people have heard of the prophecies of God, that Jesus would return, that there would be a great day of judgement, and many more. They have heard of these prophecies but have not seen them fulfilled…yet. Since they have not seen them fulfilled, many people have begun to question their truth, questioning whether God’s word will happen as He said it would or not.

This has occurred both inside the church with ‘believers’ and outside the church with unbelievers. Many in the church have chosen to walk in sin because God does not appear to really care and is not doing anything about it.

Instead of looking at what has not occurred, one should look at what words of God have been fulfilled. Jesus came, died and rose again. Healings have occurred. Lives have been changed. And many more fulfillments.

Believers must hear the word of God and know that it will happen just as He said it would. Then they must be willing to carry that word to the world. The world needs to hear of the coming judgement and how to escape it.

You may have made grand plans and then failed to follow through with them. Or have heard someone promise you something, only to fail in the end. People, and yourself, will fail in their promises at times. Do not put that failure upon God and His word. What He has promised to you and spoken to you will come to pass at the right time. Trust that what God says He will do. Wait for His timing to fulfill His word, no matter what it is.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know the word of God in your heart; that you will trust the word of God; and that you will see God’s word to you fulfilled in the right way and time.
