But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. Micah 7:7
When a person is driving down the road and suddenly his car breaks down he begins to wait. He will make a call for a tow truck to come and rescue him from being stranded in the middle of nowhere with a broken vehicle. Once the call is made, he watches and waits in hope for the one to save him from his troubles. He has hope in the tow truck driver.
During the time of Micah, the nation of Israel was being overrun and destroyed. There appeared to be no hope. Yet, Micah says that he will watch and wait in hope for God to hear him and save him.
In recent weeks there has come a time of destruction, violence and sickness across the land of America and many other nations that has not been experienced in many years. Fear of sickness or death is gripping the hearts of millions of people. There does not appear to be any hope left.
Most people are looking to the government and other leaders to bring an end to the death and destruction. They are putting a false hope in other people.
Believers are to look to God for their salvation, both the salvation of the souls and their bodies. God is still in control, even though He may appear to be distant. He is in the process of redeeming those who love and serve Him.
Until God does a work and removes the destruction and sickness from the land, people must watch for God to move and wait for Him to move. Everything will be done in His perfect timing. God hears the prayers of those who call upon Him in their days of trouble.
You may be crying out to God to be rescued from some situation in your life that is currently threatening you. Do not stop watching and waiting for His answer. God hears your cries.
Know that God hears you and will save you in the end. It may be by removing the situation from you or it may be by removing you from the situation. Either way you must watch and wait for His move in your life. Do not give up watching or waiting upon God, He is faithful and will do what He has promised.
I pray today that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will watch for God’s move in your life; that you will wait patiently for God to meet your needs; and that you will see God work in your life.
