With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. Psalm 108:13
The majority of the people in the world will never be a part of a national military in their country. Only a very select few will have to or will choose to join a military branch. Of those that do join, some will have to participate in some battle at some point in their career. Their goal is always to have victory over the enemy.
Some of the battles fought by the army are won, while others are lost.
While not everyone will be a part of the military of their nation, every person will have personal battles to fight. Each person will have some enemies in their life. Some of these enemies will be physical people, many will be in the emotional or spiritual realm.
Personal habits are one of the largest enemies that most people will face. While most people look only at smoking, drinking, exercise, and eating the wrong things as bad habits and enemies, there are other enemies in a person’s life.
Bad habits of lying, cheating, procrastination, not doing what God wants, holding on to fear, worry, and many other things can battle against a person.
There are many books out there to “help” a person gain victory over a lot of these problems. Some times these books may help, but usually not for long.
The best way to find victory over an enemy is with God. This is for both physical and non-physical enemies in your life.
Following God and trusting Him to win the battles in your life is the only way to ensure victory every time. When Jesus walked on this earth He had defeated the greatest enemy that many will ever face–death.
Because Jesus gained victory over death, He can win every battle that you have. He can give you the strength to continue the battle against the enemy. He can change your heart and mind so that the enemies of your soul will have no power over your thoughts and actions.
Gaining this victory is found in letting go of yourself being in control and allowing God to guide you to victory. Jesus is waiting to trample down the enemies in your life.
Are you going to allow Jesus to get the victory for you in your life?
I pray today that you will allow God to control your life; that God will give you the needed strength for all battles; that God will crush the enemies in your life; and that you will see the victory in Jesus in your life.
