Psalm 70:4 Seek And Be Glad

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The LORD is great!” Psalm 70:4

Seeking for something is not always a fun project to do, but often has to be done. Car keys get lost, the wallet gets misplaced, important papers are mixed in a big shuffle, finding a building in a major city, and numerous other things to search for.

The more important an item is, the more anxiety there is in searching for the item. The less time to find it, also increases the anxiety in the search.

The one thing common in all searches is the end result once found–rejoicing. No matter what the item being searched for, people are always glad when they find it. Levels of rejoicing may be different based on how important the item is.

David talks about one search that some people are searching for and often don’t even realize it. The search for God in their lives. People every where are searching for meaning and value in life. They want the best that life has to offer.

God is the most important thing in life that a person can find. Only God can offer true saving from the things of this world. Only Jesus can offer true meaning to this life on this earth.

Once a person finds salvation in Jesus, he should rejoice and be glad in God. In reality, anyone who does find salvation in Jesus will rejoice and be glad, because he will see how great God really it. God does not have to save you, He chose to save you.

Jesus stepped out of a glorious heaven to come down and die an excruciating, painful death on the cross for you. How great is our God!

Go through your day realizing how great God really is. Let others know how great God is. Tell them what God has done for you. Everyday there are new mercies and new blessings. God is with you.

Are you rejoicing and glad in Jesus?

Or are you complaining about what you cannot find?

I pray today that you will have a personal relationship with Jesus; that you will seek and find God in your life each day; that you will rejoice in knowing Jesus; and that you will be a witness of Jesus to everyone around you.

  1. My name is David and I am asking you to pray for me. I need strength and guidance. I trust in God, but I am weak in response to anger issues. Need God to help me when these times arise. Thank you and God bless.
