Job 1:8 Being Watched

Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no ono on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” Job 1:8

At some point in time, Satan comes before God from wandering around the earth. Satan was known for trying to seek out people to get them to turn away from God. God asks him if he ever considered trying to attack Job. God calls Job a blameless and upright man. Satan had seen Job, but believed he was protected by God and could not touch him.

One of the greatest fears many people have is that they are being watched by someone else. People want to have their privacy, both in private and in public. Many are concerned about privacy on the internet, knowing that all their websites they see can be tracked and known by others.

The truth is that people are being watched all the time and that there is nothing that can be done about it. People watch other people in stores, on the street, in a church, everywhere they go. Along with people watching others, both God and Satan are watching people also.

Satan is watching you to find a way to get you to sin against God. He is looking to see where he can find your weakness to sin. His goal is to tempt you to sin and get you to actually sin.

God is also watching you. He wants to see you live for Him. When you dedicate your life to Him, He is watching. Sometimes God sees that your heart is truly dedicated to Him, so He chooses to let you be tempted by Satan, believing that you will make the right choice. God sees that you are blameless in Jesus and turn from evil.

It is then that God may give Satan permission to look at you and tempt you. God is testing you to see if you are strong and faithful to Him. Satan will test you to see if you are weak and unfaithful to God.

Are you living your life in such a way that God is willing to put your life on the line with Satan?

Keep your eyes and life focused on God. Make sure you are living faithfully for God. God and Satan are watching how you are living. They both want you.

I pray today that you will live for God; that God will give you strength to be faithful to Him; and that you will bring honor to God in all you say and do.
