“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Revelation 12:11
In his vision John sees that Satan had been hurled down. Satan is the accuser of all believers and is now taken out of position of power. When this occurred, the believers had triumphed over him. It was not in their own power but in the power found in the blood of Jesus and by their testimony and not fearing death.
Being the accuser, all Satan had to do was accuse a person of sin, and God would have to bring that person to death. Sin brings on death. Since every person could be accused of sin, every person had to die.
When Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood He destroyed Satan’s greatest power–death. Jesus removed all sin and all accusation by His blood.
Along with His blood, every believer needs to have a testimony. They need to speak out loud what Jesus had done for them. Satan will continue to try accuse believers of what they have done wrong. They need to remind him that those sins have been removed.
As a believer, you should now no longer fear death. Death has no more power over you. Satan and the world wants you to live in fear of death. They want you to love your life here on this earth and fear death.
Although life may be great for you right now, death has something even greater. This life is only temporary and is filled with problems. Death removes all the problems and is for eternity. Death opens the door to life eternal.
Triumph over Satan by going out and giving your testimony as to what Jesus has done for you. Your testimony can tell others what Jesus can do for them also.
Do not fear the persecution and troubles of this world when you God leads you to be His witness. Tell others about Jesus and strive to bring them back from a path that leads to death.
Don’t shrink from death. As a believer, you have the greatest treasure any person could want–life eternal. Go, now, and tell others about what you have and what they can have.
I pray today that you will know what Jesus has done for you; that you will know that God no longer accuses you; that you will tell others about Jesus; and that you will not fear death.
