John 9:25 Just Tell What You Know

He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” John 9:25

Talk is something that is easy for most people. For some people they can talk about anything and everything, regardless of how much or how little they know about the subject.

People like to talk in such a way that it makes them look like they know what they are talking about, even when they don’t. They will make up information, just so they will look intelligent on the subject.

After being healed of blindness, by someone he did not know, a man was being questioned by the Pharisees. He tells them that he doesn’t know whether the man is a sinner or not, but tells them that he was blind but can now see.

Believers are often questioned by non-believers about things God has done in their lives or in the lives of others. The bible is often questioned as to the truth of it.

Sometimes these questions are beyond the knowledge of the believer. Some will try to make up information to make it appear that know everything about God and His ways. This will often cause a bad argument and lead to no where.

Instead of talking about what one does not really know about, he should just say what he knows. Two things that every believer knows is what God has done in his life, and why he believes in Jesus.

There is no believer who knows absolutely everything about God or the Bible. Speaking the basic truth that one knows will keep one from falsehood and getting into a trap that the world tries to set for a believer.

As one speaks this way, he is revealing truth.

As a believer you have your own story to tell of what God has done in your life and what you know about God. There will be many things that you do not know or understand about God and the bible.

Do not try to appear super intelligent, but speak only what you know is truth in your life. The simplest thing you can say that no one can refute is your telling what God has done in your life. Anything beyond that can lead to falsehood or wrong motives.

Go and tell people what you know.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will tell others what God has done for you; that you will speak God’s truth at all times; that God will guide you in understanding His word to you; and that God will guide you to keep you from falling into the traps of this world.

Luke 8:39 Talk About What God Has Done

“Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him. Luke 8:39

It is common for many people to desire to be in the limelight of things occurring. They want to be where the big action is, where everyone else appears to be or wants to be.

In seeking only these positions, many will miss many other great opportunities. Not everyone can be in the limelight or just at the big events. Not everyone can travel with the best or top person.

After being healed from demonic possession, a man wanted to travel with Jesus. Jesus denied the request, but told him to go home and tell everyone what God had done. The man did as Jesus said.

Just as people in the world want to be in the highlighted positions, many in the church want those same positions. They want to work right alongside the pastor or speaker, being seen by everyone as important.

While the pastor or speaker does need a few people alongside of him to help, he does not need that many. What is really needed is people to go into their own neighborhoods and places they normally go to be a witness for Jesus.

Individual believers can touch other individuals better than a large name speaker. People want to hear direct testimony of what God has done and is doing from people that they personally know. It adds a greater level of proof and reliability to the story that is often lost in a big name person.

Every believer has an experience with God to tell others about. If every believer was to go out and tell every person that he knows, the whole world will hear about Jesus in a personal way.

You have your own stories of experiences of what God has done and is doing in your life. Instead of just running after positions in the church or community, be willing to share those stories with those you meet each day.

There is someone out there that needs to hear what you have to say. There is someone out there who will give their heart to Jesus because of a story that you may tell.

Don’t hold back and just sit in the pews at church, but go out and share your story with everyone you can today.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will seek ways to talk about Jesus to others; that God will open your eyes to those who need Jesus; and that God will use you to build His kingdom.

Luke 4:43 Get The Message Out More

But he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” Luke 4:43

During a major storm, such as a hurricane, there is often a message that has to be delivered to the people. Often that message is one of telling the people to get out or evacuate the area for their protection.

In order to get the message out, they will use every means possible. Radio, television, internet and phone calls will be used to proclaim the message. Often they will send in police officers to go to homes and neighborhoods to pass the message on. This is done because of its great importance.

Jesus said He had to go to other towns to preach the good news. It was His full purpose to pass on the good news.

The proclamation that Jesus had is still important to this day. There are still billions of people who have not heard the emergency warning. The warning message is that they are dying in sin and headed for eternal judgement and death.

No one has to live like this, but most do not know it. People have not heard that they can have eternal life. This is where the church and believers come in.

Every believer has to pick up the mission that Jesus had started. Each believer is to proclaim the good news to every one that they can reach. They need to go out to the new areas around them to let people know who have never heard the message.

People need to hear the message of life, but if no one is willing to go, they will not be able to hear it. Jesus started and ended His life on this earth with this mission.

At some point someone had brought you the message of the good news of the kingdom of God. You were given the opportunity to accept or reject it. Now that you have chosen to accept it, you need to pass it on to others.

Seek God to find new areas to pass that message on. Ask God to show you new people to talk with that need to hear about what God has for them.

Do not allow any one to live without a chance to hear about Jesus and what He has for them. Get the message out.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will proclaim the message of Jesus; that God will open doors for you to be His witness; and that God will build His kingdom through you around the world.

Luke 2:17 Spread The News

When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told about this child, Luke 2:17

Interesting or unusual news is something that can spread very rapidly and most people like to hear about. People like to know what is going on, especially things behind the scenes, the unknown quiet stuff.

One of the things people like to hear about is when someone does something unusual or is just unusual and different. Once they hear something unusual, most people will talk about it to everyone else, spreading the information rapidly. With social media on the internet, it will spread around the world within seconds.

Some shepherds were told about the birth of Jesus by some angels. After going and confirming the news, they went out and told everyone about Jesus.

When a person has great news he wants everyone to know about it. He does not hide it in his heart, keeping it to himself and hidden from everyone. The greater the news, the faster one will desire to spread the news.

In today’s society, negative news is common. It is actually very difficult to find positive, good news about anything. The world thrives on bad news, though most people love to hear about something good.

Every believer has some information or news about Jesus. They have been given a revelation of who He is. They have some experience as to who Jesus is and what He can do. The greatest of this information is that Jesus can save a person.

This news is the greatest news in the history of the world. Every believer needs to be like the shepherds and go out and tell what they know about Jesus.

As the shepherds went out, they did not know much, but told what they did know. Believers need to do the same. The world needs to hear the good news.

You, as a believer, have learned some news about Jesus. It may be a lot, if you have been a believer for a long time, or it may be just a little. Either way, you have some news to tell others.

Do not hold the good news to yourself, but go out and share it as much as possible. Use every method possible to spread what you know and have experienced about Jesus. The world needs to hear about Jesus.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will tell others about Jesus; that you will be bold in talking about Jesus; and that many will believe the good news about Jesus.

Ezekiel 33:7 Be The Watchman

Two guards watching

Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. Ezekiel 33:7

The watchman is the person who stands out ahead, closer to the enemy territory, to give warning of anyone who is coming. He is a type of a guard for those being guarded. They are to watch for any activity that is occurring that may have an effect upon those being guarded.

In order to be a good watchman, the person must stay alert and be watching. Then he must be quick about warning what is going to happen, giving the people a chance to react to the situation.

God calls Ezekiel a watchman and charges him to speak whatever God tells him to say. Ezekiel is to give the people a warning.

Being a watchman for God is not some light and easy task. It takes effort to listen to what God is saying. It is having a discerning heart to know what is really going on. It also takes strength and bravery to speak out when danger is on the way.

In the spiritual realm, the danger is often not seen as a physical danger. It is often a danger of the heart and soul. The greatest event to come is when Jesus returns to judge the world and the heart and soul of every person.

Every believer has been charged to be a watchman, a witness, for God. They must warn the people of the coming judgement and the path to death that they are on.

The world cannot see the danger that they are in, because they do not have discerning eyes or ears. They cannot hear the word of God. It is the responsibility of the believer to warn them and let them know.

As a believer you know what is going to happen some day. You can see how the world is living in sin and headed down a path to destruction. You can also hear God’s word to the world today.

It is your responsibility to warn the people. Jesus has charged you to be His witness to all of the world. It is not your responsibility as to how the world reacts to God’s word, but you must share it with them.

Do not be afraid to speak God’s word. Allow God to reveal to you what must be said and to whom it must be said. Be God’s watchman today.

I pray today that you will know God’s word in your heart; that God will reveal to you what is to come; that you will warn the people of what God is going to do; and that you will be God’s witness to all people.
