Uncancelled (book review)

Phil Robertson, famous for the tv show Duck Dynasty, writes a book about finding meaning and peace in a today’s culture of accusations and condemnation. In today’s society there are many groups trying to cancel one another out through accusations both true and false.

He begins by telling his story of how his show was cancelled because of views that he held to that were ‘politically incorrect’ to the powers that are in the media world. Instead of being angry, Phil remembers that this world is not all that there is, and that God is in control.

Phil quickly states that the world is not alone in cancelling people and organizations out, but that the church does the same on a regular basis. Instead of cancelling people out, Phil states that people need to have Jesus in their life.

Throughout the book, he goes back to the basics of belief in Jesus as the most important thing in life. Once that is established, nothing else matters.

This book is an easy, short read that will point a person to Jesus and how to react to being cancelled by the world or being pressured to cancel someone else. Many scripture verses are used to backup what he is saying. It will also challenge your belief in and walk with God in this world.

I highly recommend reading it and allowing God’s Holy Spirit to guide you in how to act and react to the cancel culture that is pervading America and many other nations around the world.

Jesus Politics
How to Win Back the Soul of America (book review)

Phil Robertson, famous from Duck Dynasty, takes a look at Jesus in politics and the voting booth. He believes in having a kingdom manifesto–a public declaration of policy based upon God’s Kingdom and standards according to the Bible.

In each chapter he takes a look at major issues that can be found in the voting booth and politics. Beginning with a self-experience that brought him to understanding the issue, he then goes into what the problem is. Then he takes a look at what God says in His word about the issue. At the end of each chapter, he challenges the reader to take action and how to take that action inside the voting booth. He also does a short synopsis at the end of the chapter of each chapter pointing out the problem, the manifesto of the King, and putting it into action.

Some of the issues he looks at are money/business, gun ownership, environmental issues, family life, healthcare, mercy and forgiveness. Throughout each chapter he uses a lot of scripture verses and also quotes from the founding fathers of America. He points out how leaders in America have turned America away from the Godly principles the nation was founded upon.

I really enjoy how he weaves in stories of his experiences dealing with each of these issues. Phil is not extremely harsh in pointing out the faults, but he also does not back down from the truth placed in God’s word. It is made very clear that it is the responsibility of believers to vote people into public office who will not back down from holding up God’s word as law in the land.

Whether you are into politics or not, I highly recommend reading this book to have a good view on what is occurring in America in the voting booth, especially this year with voting this week. It is a fairly short read and very easy to read. Phil will encourage you to take a stand for God in the voting booth to make America great and one nation under God again.

The Theft Of America’s Soul (book review)

Phil Robertson, from the show Duck Dynasty, takes a look at America and what has changed in America and what has caused that change to occur.

In this short book, each chapter takes a look at a lie that many Americans have chosen to buy into and believe. All of the lies begin with the lie that God is dead. The premise is that if God is dead, then everything else breaks down and can be changed.

Throughout the book he looks at ten different lies. A few of these lies are: truth is relative, sex is for self-gratification, God did not create life, and Christians should keep quiet.

Each chapter begins by looking at the lie and how it is promoted, then he shows what Scripture says and how it is a lie from the devil. Scripture is constantly used throughout the book. He also quotes many of the founding fathers of America, pointing out how America was built upon Biblical and Godly principles, but has walked away from them. Phil also uses a lot of examples in his own personal life on how he had once bought into the lies and how God changed his own life.

This book will make many of the woke people in America angry. It goes against the culture being promoted in America today. He challenges believers to see the truth and work to be a witness and bring America back to God.

I highly recommend you read this book. Open your heart to hear what God has to say and to see the truth of how America has had its soul stolen by the enemy and what can be done about it.
