Revelation 15:3 Recognizing How Great God’s Deeds Are

People all over the world are often recognized for what they have done or not done good or bad. Those who have done great things are often praised and honored in many different ways. Those who have done negative things are often shunned and looked down upon.

The world often looks at some people as having done good, even when it is sinful and in the end bad.

John has a vision of people who have been saved being given a harp and they sing a song of praise to God. They sing of how great His deeds are and how just and true His ways are.

Looking at the works of God through the eyes of the world, one would often think that God is not a very good God. The world cannot understand the ways of God and how pure of love He has in every action He takes. People often just look at things with a short-term vision and see them as bad.

God’s perfect and holy love does not allow Him to do anything that is ultimately bad for anyone. Every action God takes is to build someone up in Jesus, to make him more like Jesus–pure and holy, without sin.

Although at times this can seem painful and horrible, it is for the best for each and every person. It is a great and marvelous deed of God’s. There is no lie or deceit in His actions, but only pure love to which every believer should be willing and joyful to give praise for.

Every believer has a song of praise for God for what He has done.

God is working everything in your life to build you up to be more like Jesus. He is not out to destroy you, but to make you pure and holy as He is.

Instead of looking at situations from a temporary viewpoint, look from an eternal view. Recognize and praise God for what He is doing in your life. Recognize how true and just God’s ways are.

Allow God to work in your life to make you the best you can be for Him. Then take time to praise God for all the great and marvelous deeds He is doing for you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will recognize how great God is; that you will know how pure, holy and just God is; and that you will praise God for all that He has done and is doing in your life.

Revelation 15:3 Recognizing God’s Great Deeds

and sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations.” Revelation 15:3

All over the world there are people who have been recognized for what they have done. Inventions created, social work done, businesses started, products made, music, art, and more.

For some, whole museums are established to honor their work. For others, classes have been created to study their great works. The world is quick to recognize the works of a person, but often ignore God’s work.

In his vision, John sees all the believers, who had overcome the beast, singing and praising God. They sing about the great and marvelous deeds of God, confessing that His ways are true and just.

While most of the world rejects God and what He has done, those who have opened their spiritual eyes will be able to see what God has done. The very beginning of God’s great work can be seen in nature, the beautiful sunrises or landscapes and plants. The world sees nature as an act of random chance, while the believer sees God’s mighty hand of power at creation.

As the believer grows in his faith in God, he can begin to see how God works things in his own life. The peace that occurs during difficult times. The provision when there appears to be nothing left. The direction provided when there seems to be no way. The protection from the enemy’s attacks. The needed comfort during times of great sorrow.

And much more. Instead of ignoring these things in his life, the believer should sing God’s songs of praise. He should recognize God’s great and marvelous hand at work in his life. This does not need to wait until one gets to heaven, but can start today.

Take some time to see what God is doing or has already done in your life. As you begin to see God’s hand in everything, you will be amazed at how great God is. God is always faithful and just in what He does.

Now take time to sing praise to God for what He has done in your life. Along with praising God, be willing to tell others about all the marvelous deeds God has done. Doing these things will give God praise and fill your heart with joy.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that God will open your spiritual eyes to see His hand at work; that you will recognize all the things God has done and is doing in your life; that you will praise God for His great deeds; and that you will be a witness of He works to others.

Job 37:5 Beyond Understanding

God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. Job 37:5

Curiosity into things is something that man has always had. He wants to understand how things work or why they work the way that they do. For many people they are fascinated by how things work and they begin to question it.

It is out of desire to understand the mysteries of life that many of the discoveries have been made. Some are very simple, such as how something might taste, while other things are extremely complex, such as the breakdown of molecules and how they work in a body.

While millions of things have been discovered, there are also many things that remain a mystery. Some of the things that have been discovered, have also been changed over the years with greater discovery of that item.

Elihu points out that God does things that is beyond understanding. What God was doing in Job’s life was even beyond his understanding. God was doing a great thing, though no one could see it, or understand what He was doing at the time it was occurring.

It is easy to see how great God is when one thinks about the complexities of this life and earth. How does God sustain everything on this earth, down to the smallest particles of life and matter? No one can fully understand this.

Then it gets even more complex with how God works in the life of a person. God allows things in his life to mold and shape the person into one like Jesus. God uses both good and bad things to change a person into the person he is meant to be. This is beyond the understanding of people, yet it is marvelous what God is doing.

As you put your trust in God, trust what He is doing and allowing in your life. Do not fight God, but turn to Him and hold on to Him. Know that what He is doing and allowing is what is best for your life.

The allowance of struggle and destruction in the life of Job ends with blessings beyond measure. God may use things that do not make sense to you in order to make you like Jesus. As He does this, remember that His ways of doing things is beyond anything you can think or imagine, yet it is the best way.

If He can build and sustain this universe, He can build and sustain you.

I pray today that you will see God’s hand in your life; that you will trust God’s work in your life; that you God will reveal His work in your life; and that you will not fear God’s work in your life.
