Esther 5:2 Having Favor With The King

So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter. Esther 5:2

Most people desire to have special favor with others who are at the top, the leaders and famous people. They want to meet someone famous personally but are unable to even get close because they do not have the special favor extended to them.

In a time when a person could be killed for trying to go before the king, Esther stood before the king. She found favor with the king, and he extended his scepter towards her.

The world is focused on gaining favor with the rich and famous or high level politicians, people who are only temporary. They will go out of their way to gain the attention and favor of those whom they think can help them in some way or another. However, most often the ‘little’ person is ignored or not even noticed.

Believers will sometimes get caught up in this same attitude in the church. They want special favor with the pastor or with some special speaker. Although having that favor is not necessarily bad, it is not always the best thing.

Every believer always has special favor one hundred percent of the time with The King–God. Many fear going to God because of sin in their life. However, God is always ready to forgive and forget sins when one will repent.

God always has an open ear day or night to hear when one chooses to call out to Him in prayer and faith believing that He will hear and answer.

As a believer in Jesus, you are a child of God and have His favor upon you. He is always ready to hear what is on your heart and to guide you in the way you should go. It does not matter the time of day, where you live or what you have done in your past, God is always waiting for your call.

Do not fear the judgement of God but repent of your sins and be willing to be led by the Holy Spirit in what you should say, think or do. Call out to Him and He will extend you favor and answer you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God’s love for you; that you will know God’s favor towards you; that you will not fear approaching God in faith; and that you will hear God speak to you and guide you in living for Him.

Numbers 17:8 God’s Favor Produces Abundantly

The next day Moses entered the tent and saw that Aaron’s staff, which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds. Numbers 17:8

People are very often jealous of other people who appear to be successful. They are wanting what the other person has. In an attempt to get what that something is, many strive to get favor with the person.

Extra favor is often given to only a few people, not every person gets it. Favor is given often to those who are chosen or have earned it, not just everyone.

The Israelites had complained about Aaron, so there was a test given to see who had God’s favor. Aaron’s staff was the one God had chosen. It had not only sprouted, but budded, blossomed and produced almonds.

Many believers are willing to do a part of God’s will, but not with their whole heart. They will do the very minimum work required, just to look as though they are good and serving God. This is done to gain favor with God and man, but not out of love of God.

God works in and through the lives of those who choose to believe in Him, obey Him and serve Him with their whole heart. Once a person chooses to do these things, the favor of God begins to rest upon Him. God will go above and beyond the bare minimum in blessing the work the believer is doing, because he is willing to do His desire.

Those who are doing God’s will with a whole heart, will see His favor rest upon their work. Success and growth will appear greater than could ever have been expected. It will sprout, bud, blossom and produce fruit in abundance in whatever area of service the person is in.

God has a work for you to do on this earth. It is a job that is unique to you and only you are the one to do it.

Strive to serve God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength. Do the work of God out of love for Him and people.

As you give one hundred percent of your life to doing His work, you will see God’s hand of favor rest upon you. The work will be fruitful, multiplying with abundant blessing. God wants you to succeed in the work He has you doing.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know the work God has for you to do; that you will do the work of God with all of your heart; and that you will see God produce abundant fruit through your work.

Leviticus 20:22 Don’t Get Spit Out

Keep all my decrees and laws and follow them, so that the land where I am bringing you to live may not vomit you out. Leviticus 20:22

Every nation and city around the world has some rules and regulations that are expected to be followed. If one does not follow them, there are consequences anywhere from a small fine to prison time. The consequences are spitting a person out from being able to fully enjoy the freedoms he once had.

Most people are willing to obey the majority of those laws, but there are always some that reject some or all of the laws.

God told the Israelites to keep all of His laws so that they would not be kicked out of the land He was giving them to live in.

Although most people today are not in a ‘promised’ land such as the Israelites were in, many are in a promised place set by God as they follow Him. God’s favor rests upon those who obey His commands that set them apart from the rest of the world. Provision and blessings are seen in ways that the world cannot understand.

However, when a believer chooses to disobey and go against God’s commands and sin, God will often remove His hand of favor upon his life. The ‘land’ that he is in will spit him out. Things will not work in his favor and struggles will abound with no peace or comfort at hand.

No believer can follow God’s commands one hundred percent of the time, but he can strive to and be willing to repent immediately upon sinning. It is with this heart to follow God’s commands that God steps in with His grace and mercy of forgiveness and gives the believer His hand of favor so that he will not be kicked out of the land promised.

Sit back and think about how much God has blessed you since you first chose to follow and obey Jesus. These blessings are the land God has promised you and blessed you with.

Do not allow yourself to disobey God’s commands and run after the sinful ways of this world. Do not give God a reason to have the land of favor spit you out because you choose to not obey His commands.

Set yourself apart from the world and be holy, obeying all the commands of God. Know the favor of obeying God.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God’s commands for you; that you will obey all of God’s commands to you; that you will live a holy and separate life unto God; and that you will know God’s hand of favor upon your life.

Genesis 39:20b-21 Favor Even In Wrongful Imprisonment

But while Joseph was there in prison, the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. Genesis 39:20b-21

Going through difficulties is very challenging and even more so when one is completely innocent of doing anything wrong. Generally, people focus on what is going wrong in their lives and how it is everyone or everything else’s fault, rather than looking at what is going well.

Most often people will fight back and rebel when falsely accused. They will refuse to do any more good since they are accused of being wrong.

Joseph was wrongly accused of attacking his master’s wife and was placed in prison. While there, he did what was right and was given kindness and favor with the warden.

Due to the actions of other people, some will be placed in very horrible or difficult conditions or positions. Those who have done wrong will recognize that they got what was coming to them. However, there are some who are innocent and yet still get hurt.

Rather than fighting back and being angry, the believer must be a person of integrity. He must give his best efforts and work as unto the Lord.

Usually, a person does not know or see the big picture as to why he is in a difficult spot. That may not be revealed by God until much later, however, it does not stop the person from doing what is right before God and man.

As one does the right thing, God can give him supernatural favor in the worst of difficult circumstances. God has the ability to turn the hearts and minds of the enemy into giving favor to those who put their trust in Him. He will also provide strength and His presence and guidance in the prisons of this life until one is released.

Someone may have wrongly accused you and put in some type of prison, whether a physical prison or social prison. As wrong as it was, you have two choices as how to react to it. You can either fight back, or you can trust God in your circumstance and use it to His glory.

God knows exactly where you are and what you are going through and have been through. As you trust in Him and live for Him, He will give you favor, even among your enemies and while in prison.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will trust God in every situation in your life; that you will live for God wherever you are; and that you will see God’s hand of kindness and favor in every prison man puts you in.

Luke 1:30 You Have Found Favor

But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. Luke 1:30

People love to have favor with famous or people in high positions. In their minds it gives them a special status or position.

In the workplaces, many desire that favor so that they can get higher positions or higher pay. Others desire that favor to keep them out of trouble or to allow them to get by with things that they should not do. Some will go to great lengths to gain some favor, including trying to bribe to get it.

An angel came to Mary with a message from God. As Mary was scared of what was happening, the Angel said that she had found favor with God.

It is common for people to think that Mary was someone special to get God’s favor upon her. However, she was a human being with sins, just like every one else is. The difference is with the heart. Mary was willing to follow and obey God, no matter how crazy it appeared to be.

Every person has a chance to be favored by God. People live in sin, but God sent His Son to die for them and save them. Although every one deserves extreme eternal punishment, God is willing to give them favor and remove those sins. He is willing to send His Holy Spirit to live in each person to lead and guide the person, and give him strength to do what needs to be done.

This is greater favor than any person on this earth can give any other person. It is a favor that brings life, and not just life, but eternal life.

No one has to fear God, if he is willing to repent and follow Jesus. Jesus has brought people God’s favor.

You may wonder if God even knows who you are. He does and He has given you great favor. Instead of punishing you for your sins and crushing you, He is willing to forgive you and build you up.

God may not call you to carry His Son, but He has a work for you to do for Him. He has a special assignment just for you that no one else can do. That is His great favor.

Do not be afraid of God, but embrace Him and what He has for you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know God’s favor towards you; that you will know what God has for you; that you will know what God wants you to do; and that you will serve God with all of your life.
