Luke 18:8 Will God Find Faith In You?

I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8

People are quick to say that they agree with someone or something, but later back down on that statement. They lose faith in people and things very quickly. This is often due because of past let downs that hurt them greatly.

Having faith in someone will hold on, even when things don’t look good. One with faith, will not give up at all, regardless of how long it takes.

Jesus gave a parable about a women seeking justice from a judge who would not give it. He said that God will give justice to those who cry out to Him, but wonders if He will find any faith when He returns.

Saying that one has faith in God is an easy thing to do, but much more difficult for many to actually show. People will cry out to God for help once or twice, but when God does not immediately answer, they give up.

Every person who has given up, has lost the faith in God. Often they feel that God will not answer them at all or meet their need.

Each and every time a believer cries out to God in prayer for a need, God hears him. God may or may not choose to answer immediately. Regardless of whether God chooses not to answer, the person must continue to cry out to God for that need.

This continual crying out to God is a sign of faith. It is showing that one truly does believe God can meet that need and won’t give up until that need is met.

One must not be like many and give up, but to keep the faith in God. You may have a situation in your life that you need God to meet. You have prayed an prayed and God does not appear to want to answer you.

Don’t give up. Keep seeking God’s help. God may be testing to see how much you trust in Him and how badly you want His help. True faith will trust in God and continue to seek Him, waiting for His answer, no matter how long it takes.

Do not be like many and give up, but keep the faith in God. Allow God to find faith in you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you have faith in God’s abilities; that you will have complete trust in God meeting all of your needs; and that you will not give up trusting God when He is silent.

Psalm 40:1 Waiting Patiently

Impatient waiting

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1

Having to wait is something that is seen everywhere one has to go. One has to wait in traffic, wait in lines in the stores and often, even in the banks. Waiting in line at a restaurant or waiting for the food. At home people are waiting for a check to be deposited, waiting for someone to get home, waiting for an answer to something, waiting for the computer to start up.

Waiting is extremely common. Some will wait patiently, but many will get agitated or angry with the waiting. They want things right away. Things can never be fast enough.

David said that he waited patiently for the Lord to answer him. God did turn and listen to his cry.

Waiting is no different for believers. They cry out to God for an answer and then have to wait for Him to answer them. In the mind of the person, the situation is critical with no time to waste. The answer is needed right away, yet, God does not always answer right away.

This is where waiting patiently comes in. This shows that the believer is trusting God and His timing. It is letting go of the situation and letting God have complete control, whether it feels like God is in control or not.

As one is waiting patiently, there is no anxiety or worries. There is no fear or anger. He does not allow himself to shut down and try to get off the roller coaster of life. It is continuing to move forward in life worshipping and serving God and doing what one can do. It is knowing that God will answer at the perfect time, in His own way.

There will be times in your life when you are going to go through a struggle that appears to be overwhelming you. You will be crying out to God for help or direction. As you cry out, it is silent. God does not immediately answer your call for help.

You have two options, you can be scared and angry at God, or you can wait patiently knowing He knows what is best. Waiting patiently removes all stress and fear. It is trusting God completely in the situation and waiting for His answer.

God will always answer you in the best way at the perfect time. Wait patiently for that answer.

I pray today that you will seek God in every situation; that you will trust God’s answer to every situation; that God will fill you with His peace; and that you will be patient in waiting for God’s answer.
