Pray for Myanmar
Myanmar is a nation that is a strong nation for Buddhism beliefs. As people follow Buddhism, they mix a lot of occultic beliefs, superstitions and fear of spirits. Believing in spirits is something that is easy for the people to do, however they struggle with believing in only one God or one True Spirit.
Children are taught Buddhist beliefs in their public schools. Drugs and sex trafficking is very common among the people.
There are a lot of restrictions placed upon Christian churches in order for them to meet. Many believers are strongly encouraged by authorities to convert to Buddhism. As a result, many believers live a nominalist life in their walk with God or mix Buddhist beliefs with it.
Churches need to be able to understand the mindset of the Buddhist people. Knowing these things will give insight in how to approach them with the gospel message in a way that they will understand it.
Points to pray:
Wisdom to reach the lost
Renewal of hearts of new believers
Solid teaching of God’s word
Breakage of bondage to false beliefs
