The capital of India is Delhi. It is the center of government and major center of power and finance with influence that extends around the world. not just in the nation of India. Many churches have established organizations in Delhi to reach the people of India. In parts of Delhi, there are major revivals occurring that are making a difference in the city.
With the extreme high population of India and Delhi, there is extreme poverty. Population growth has caused internal structural and governmental problems. Provision for water, housing and electricity is often inadequate or non-existent. Corruption in the government brings on civil disorder and turmoil. In various parts of India there is extreme persecution of believers, while other areas it is freely allowed.
Officially there are about 130,000 believers throughout India, though it is expected to be around 400,000. Several thousand churches are planted all over the nation, but many of the believers attend church on a random basis and are predominantly immigrants.
