Croatia is a nation that has gone through a lot of hatred inside itself and with surrounding nations. Various people groups hate each other and don’t understand how or why to reconcile their differences and get along. This hatred has caused a divide between the various ethnic groups that is difficult to bring together. The few evangelical churches that are in the nation are the ones who have learned how to bring people together into unity and remove their hatred.
Churches are working to share love and compassion with those who have been harmed by the wars and hatred. This compassion has opened many doors and changed the lives of many for Christ.
Unemployment is extremely high in the nation causing many of the young people to become discouraged and turn to drug use to cope with the pressure. Many evangelical churches have a strong focus on reaching and helping those who are drug addicts. As a result, thousands of students are reached, thus also needing more workers to train the newly believing students.
