Pray for Bangladesh
Bangladesh is a country that is torn between government parties that are wealthy and control everything while fighting each other. Very little is done to help improve life for those that are poor. Corruption runs rampant among the government officials.
Along with the government corruption, there is very high levels of religious persecution. Even though Islam is the major religion, there are many Muslims who receive persecution from the Hindus and Buddhists in the nation.
Even though William Carey had reached many in the nation years ago, the church is still very small in the nation. There has been some church growth among the tribal communities. Thousands of Muslims are turning to Christ despite the pressure to not change.
Many desire to have a Bible but are unable to get one in their language and then many cannot read. Throughout the nation nearly half the people cannot read. Bible translations in the various languages are still needed.
