Pray for Libya
Libya is a nation that has had internal strife and wars for many years. Various groups desire to lead the nation in different directions and there is not a major consensus as to who should lead. As a result, there are many parts of the internal infrastructure of the nation that are not working well, causing major challenges for the people living there.
The Christian community is growing within Libya, but it is predominantly with those who are foreigners living in the country. Catholic and Orthodox groups dominate numerically, but it is Protestant groups that are more active in their faith.
Many areas are in need of pastors to help lead them. Much of the leading that people get are through radio and satellite television broadcasts. Often the radio broadcasts are limited to only a few hours a week, less than what people are needing to really grow in the Lord.
There is also a lot of persecution for those who choose to believe in the Lord. Pressure is high to stay true to the Islamic beliefs.
Points to pray:
Unity within the government
Leaders to be trained to be pastors
Visions of Jesus to those who are Muslims
Strength for believers to practice their faith
Opportunities to disciple the new believers
