Pray For Indonesia
Indonesia is predominantly a Muslim nation made of many different islands near Australia. The island of Sumatra is the largest unevangelized island in the world. It is also an island that is prone to major natural disasters from earthquakes and tsunamis that have destroyed many homes over the years.
With the high level of Islamic belief, there is extreme widespread violence among the people. This violence has lasted for over 300 years and continues on. Several peace treaties have been made, but not always followed. Several areas are extremely proud of being Islamic with no known Christian believers among them.
In 2020, the Aceh Bible was completed in the language of some of the natives. This is just available to a few of the many people. Among the Minangkabau-Rejang people there are about 600,000 people, but less than 1,000 known believers. With the few believers, many do not reach out to people outside of their own tribe or culture.
