For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your trudging through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing. Deuteronomy 2:7
Going through life, people will often feel as if they are lacking many different things. They compare themselves towards others to see what they have or do not have. As that happens, many will feel as if they are lacking out on what is best or what they feel they need, rather than what is truly needed.
As the Israelites had traveled throughout the wilderness, being led by God, He had blessed everything that they did. God was with them and there was nothing that they lacked or had need of and did not receive.
The journey through life is often very difficult. It is a wilderness of all kinds of dangers, as well as good times. As with any journey, there are some things that are needed in order to complete the journey in life. To survive on this planet, all one really needs is food, clothing and shelter. Anything beyond that is a bonus, an extra blessing.
Viewing the world, it tries to tell one that more is always needed. Not having everything everyone else has makes one lack and missing out. Believers can fall into this trap and not see the blessings God has provided for them.
God has promised to meet the needs of every believer. No one is to worry or fret over what they need, but to put full trust in God and just obey His commands. As God leads the believer throughout this journey of life on earth, He will provide for every need at the right time and in the right way.
You are walking through the wilderness of life on this planet. The journey you are taking is one that has the destination of heaven. Until you get into heaven you have needs on this earth. God will provide for every need in the way that is best for you to build you up in Christ Jesus and make you more like Him each day. Do not allow yourself to be like the world and feel as if you need more than what God is giving you. Greed will set in and pull you down or get you off of the path God has you on in this journey.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know what God has given you; that you will see how blessed God has blessed you; that you will walk the path God has you on; and that you will see God’s provision for every true need you have.
