Pray For Chile
Chile is a nation that in the past had been a relatively conservative nation. Liberalism has been allowed to come in and change the mindsets of the people.
Marriage rates are low, and divorce rates are rising. The average woman becomes pregnant by the age of 14. Drug abuse and crime is very high with a focus on materialism.
Catholicism had been one of the major beliefs in the nation, but has since fallen. The majority that claim Catholicism do not practice it on a regular basis. Pentecostalism has risen at a rapid rate, but many have become churches without any sign of gifts or power due to old ways of leadership and becoming more formal. There are very few leaders that are willing to stand strong on God’s word and lead the people with a correct Biblical worldview. This tends to keep each group isolated and without good leaders.
Less than half of the colleges have a Christian group located on campus, though this has risen in the last few years. More than 60 Christian radio stations are available throughout the nation.
Points to pray for Chile:
Training in Biblical leadership
Students would find their identity in Christ
Gifts of the Spirit will be manifest in the church services
Marriage would become strong and popular
Births outside of marriage would decline
Unity among the believing churches
