Africa is a continent with 54 nations and over one billion people. With that many nations, there are also many different languages being spoken and many different dialects in each nation.
Since the early 1900s, Christianity in Africa has grown to nearly half of the entire population. In many areas below the Saharan desert areas, they have grown to nearly two-thirds of the population. About 1/3 of the entire world’s Christians are located on the continent of Africa.
Often led by Pentecostal churches, many have been very active in being a witness. Building and expanding churches is the focus throughout the land. These outreaches have also reached those who are being educated beyond high school levels.
As a result, it is believers who are taking a stand against evil and reaching out to help those in need. It is African believers who are able to reach people inside Muslim nations, where there is still extreme persecution of believers. They are the ones who are leading studies in combating diseases and sicknesses throughout the nations. It is also the believers who are leading the way to translating the Bible into the many different languages across the continent.
