The United Arab Emirates is a nation that was made very wealthy by its production of oil. While the top few are extremely wealthy, many at the bottom live in extreme poverty. Human trafficking, injustice and horrible living conditions are commonplace.
Due to the oil production, people flow into the nation all the time from all over the world. Opportunities are available for people to have the gospel shared with. Although the nation has opened up some to Christianity there is still a great amount of persecution against believers. Being a witness can cost one’s livelihood or even one’s life.
Christian organizations have opened many medical clinics to help the poor but still need workers and finances to keep them going. The churches that do exist inside the nation must be careful as they work to spread the gospel message.
