Paraguay is a nation that still suffers from several decades of wars and bad governments. The current government is working to change the life of the people for the better.
Although it is a nation that has a strong Roman Catholic church as a dominate religion, it also is steeped in traditions and superstitions. Freedom in Christ is often frowned upon in view of church traditions.
Many of the residents come from immigrant populations causing them to be only inward seeking and isolated.
People in the rural areas of very receptive of evangelical work that is tied to medical care, vocational training and agricultural development.
Pray that the leaders in the nation will guide and lead with Godly principles; that hearts would be turned towards a living relationship with Jesus; that the people would be drawn to Christ; that the believers there would be His witness to all others; that God would provide for the needs of the people; that God would be the center of all marriages and families; and that ministers would be bold in preaching His word in truth and spirit; and that God would bring a true revival throughout the nation.
