For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! 1 Corinthians 9:16
Having the feeling that one needs to do something is common. At times, people will feel the need to speak their mind about some issue or the need to physically do something in a situation. This can sometimes be a good thing being done, or some bad choice in the moment. The need to do it overwhelms all other feelings and pushes a person forward regardless of the consequences.
Paul tells the Corinthian church that he does not boast in preaching the gospel because it is necessary for him to do so. He says he will be in trouble if he does not preach the gospel.
The world is constantly pushing their way of living and philosophy of life. It can be found in movies, music, books, online and everywhere else. They understand that if they do not keep pushing their agenda and beliefs, then they will fall.
As these agendas are pushed, some will reject, but may will accept what is being pushed. The more it is pushed, the more people will accept it.
Believers have a message that the world needs to hear. Without that message people are dying without being given the opportunity to really live. Many believers in the church are silent about the message that they have. They do not want to be ridiculed or offend anyone.
When Jesus returns, there will be blood on the heads those who refused to preach or share the gospel message with the world. People will be lost for eternity, because they did not speak up.
Every believer needs to share the gospel message in every way possible and with everyone possible.
Someone cared enough about you to take the time needed to share the gospel message with you. You now have a message that others need to hear. If you choose to not speak up, people will die and go to hell, lost forever.
Be willing to be bold and preach the gospel message to everyone you meet. Give them the opportunity to hear the message, repent and be saved. Do not allow yourself to be guilty of being silent for any reason.
Who can you tell about Jesus today?
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that God will give you the boldness to preach the gospel message; that God will set up divine appointments for you to share His message; and that God will draw many to Jesus through your speaking His word.
