Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes! Matthew 18:7
Very few people like other people who cause others to do something that is illegal. Doing something wrong is always seen as wrong. However, the definition of what is wrong and what is right has been blurred and changed over time. Actions that were once considered wrong are now considered good and right. Things that harm people are often now acceptable. The moral standard of right and wrong has been erased by most communities around the world.
Matthew records Jesus saying that offenses, or causing others to sin, must occur, but woe to the person by whom those offenses come.
Society has, for the most part, done away with any moral standards. Morals of what is right and wrong is now decided in the eye of the individual in the moment. If worded correctly, anything and everything is now acceptable.
As a result, the world pushes on children sinful activities as being good and a right to do. Anything that is against God is now acceptable as good. Anything that God promotes is seen as evil.
Along with the world living this way, there are many in the church who do the same. Various church groups are pushing and accepting sinful lifestyles as acceptable to God, and they are teaching children the same.
At this time, it appears that they are getting away with it, but there is a judgement coming. God’s judgement will be harsh on all sin but appears to be worse on those who lead children into sin.
Believers are to take a solid stand against sin in their own life and the lives of others. They are to be careful that they are never guilty of leading others into sin in any way.
No matter where you look you will be able to see sin being promoted as good and right. Although the world does not hold to a solid standard of morals, you must be set apart as a follower of Jesus. Walk in His standards and promote His commands and ways of living. Do not be caught guilty promoting sin and leading others into sin.
Live the holy and righteous life God has called you to live, leaving the ways of the world and show that life to others.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that God will reveal ways you may be leading others into sin; that God will give you strength and direction to live according to His holy way; and that God will not find you guilty of leading others into sin.
